Resumen

This study presents the phenomenon of satirical paraphrase of ecclesiastical texts, some of which acquired in the passage of time pro- verbial use in the daily life and communication of the Greeks. The study is focused on: a) proverbial phrases from corruption of liturgical phrases and texts, b) proverbial phrases from the corruption of ecclesiastical ad- ministrative titles of Metropolises and c) metropolitans proverbial phrases from the corruption of hymns and prayers.
